7 facts you need to know about the diesel alternative, HVO

While electric cars are taking over the streets, corn choppers, combine harvesters and large tractors will still need internal combustion engines in the future. However, they will no longer run on diesel, but instead will use HVO, a sustainable fuel. Hydrotreated vegetable oil, or HVO, has the same properties as diesel, giving it one clear advantage: it can be used pure – known as HVO100 – or mixed with fossil diesel.
